Culinary Education Across Albuquerque and Rio Rancho
M’tucci’s chefs share their culinary knowledge throughout Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. Our team leads monthly cooking classes at Rio Rancho High School, teaches seniors at Rust Medical Center how to prepare affordable home-cooked meals and introduces middle school students to culinary careers through the United Way of North Central New Mexico.
M’tucci’s leaders also serve organizations including the APS Education Foundation, Albuquerque Sign Language Academy and ALS New Mexico. These partnerships allow us to give back to the communities that continue to support our restaurants.
M'tutoring: supporting students since 2022
M’tutoring was founded in 2022 by M’tucci’s founder Jeff Spiegel after learning that many employees’ children needed additional academic assistance. The program provides personalized tutoring for elementary and middle school students in reading, math, science and other core subjects.
Tutoring sessions are held at M’tucci’s restaurants and in students’ homes throughout Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. Overseen by M’tucci’s Minister of Culture Howie Kaibel and led by educator Sarah Weschler, M’tutoring operates through a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation. Every donation directly supports our tutors and their work with local students.
Supporting Our Employees’ Children
Jeff Spiegel believed M’tucci’s responsibility extended beyond our employees to their families. M’tutoring gives parents and guardians access to trusted educational support when their children need extra help. By investing in local students, we strengthen the families at the heart of M’tucci’s and our greater New Mexico community.
